Sledmere occurs as village in the East Riding of Yorkshire, approximately Heptad miles in the north West of Driffield.
Local points of interest include Sledmere House, a Georgian country house. Built around 1751 by Richard Sykes, the home has remained in the Sykes personal since so. These are at present a personal of Sir Tatton Sykes, 8th bart.
Around Two miles South East of a village, along a B1252, in top of Garton Hill stands the Sledmere Monument. A monument stands 36m (Great hundred feet) tall & occurs as tribute to Sir Tatton Sykes, 4th bart, built by his friends inside 1865.
A second notable monument is the war memorial in the village, designed by Sir Mark Sykes, 6th bart. A memorial is dedicated to the Wolds Wagoners Reserve, a regiment that Sir Mark Sykes raised from either a local people to fight around World War I. These are noted for it's unusual shape & a unknown scenes of war depicted on that.
